MSDP are currently Soroptimist International Liverpool’s charity of the year, and we are thrilled to be working with SI and the Liverpool Heart and Chester Hospital to offer a free Heart Health Check for our community in Liverpool.

During the check attendees will have the following levels tested:

• Blood pressure
• Heart rate
• Cholesterol
• BMI

Understanding these metrics will help to detect any underlying health conditions. For instance, you may not realise that you have high blood pressure, however it puts you at much high risk of heart disease, kidney damage or a stroke. If any of your results are outside of the ‘normal’ range then you can speak to your GP about lifestyle changes, medication etc.

The event will take place on Thursday 25th September at MSDP, from 10am to 1pm. BSL interpreters will be available and there is free car parking on site.
