Beatles Story Museum

We are proud to provide Deaf Awareness training to organisations across Merseyside. We help organisations to improve their understanding and awareness of some of the issues faced by people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing – and provide some suggestions to help mitigate some of the challenges.

We recently held a Deaf Awareness session for The Beatles Story Museum in Liverpool, and Victoria Leyshon-Matthews, Guest Experience Manager, kindly sent across the feedback below:

“The Beatles Story recently attended a training session at MDSP, which brought together a diverse group from across all departments. Everyone who participated found the workshop to be both enjoyable and insightful. Ian, the instructor, did an exceptional job leading the class, creating a comfortable, engaging, and inspiring learning environment. His openness and willingness to share personal experiences added a powerful and authentic dimension to the training.

Since completing the session, we have made several positive changes in our approaches and communications within the museum to better support guests and colleagues who are deaf or hard of hearing. Our team has embraced these changes with confidence, and we are seeing a marked improvement in both guest and colleague interactions. I highly recommend this course to anyone, particularly those working in visitor-facing roles or public environments.”
