Domestic Abuse
If you are at risk of or experiencing domestic violence we can support you to contact SignHealth’s Deaf Domestic Abuse team and local support services. You can also self refer here: Domestic Abuse Information and Service Details – SignHealth
When you need someone to talk to
If you are feeling sad, depressed or struggling with mental health we can support you to make a referral to SignHealth’s Psychological Therapies service. The team are all Deaf and provide NHS funded counselling and therapy services in BSL for free. You can also self refer here: Psychological Therapy – SignHealth.
Worried about yourself or others
Sometimes deaf people and their loved ones come to our team for advice on issues that they are worried about. For example; romance fraud where a person thinks they are dating someone who is asking for money or they may be unhappy about a situation or person. We are here if you want to talk to our team. We can support you to contact the police or to make a referral for social services support.
