Merseyside Society for Deaf People has been supporting people who are Deaf or have some form of hearing loss since 1864. We understand that, depending on your level of hearing loss you can face different challenges – and we are on hand to help.
Our Hard of Hearing group is held at our head office in Queens Park Drive in Liverpool every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm – 4pm. It provides an opportunity for people with all levels of hearing loss to come together and support each other. Whether you have always had hearing loss, have recently received a diagnosis of hearing loss or are early on in your journey – our group is here to support you.
The group is open to people of all ages and you will receive a warm welcome from our regular attendees and MSDP staff. We regularly run activities such as bingo, quizzes and history videos.
We also meet outside the group to go on day trips and weekend rambles. However most importantly the group is there to provide support, and people who understand the issues that you may be facing.

Useful information for the Hard of Hearing
If you have any concerns about your hearing then many high street audiologists, like Specsavers and Boots, offer free hearing tests – although we would still encourage you to speak to your GP.
