Trip to Strawberry Field

Strawberry Field in Liverpool is a unique visitor experience that takes you behind the red gates made famous by The Beatles’ song “Strawberry Fields Forever.” Once a Salvation Army children’s home, the site now features an exhibition about John Lennon’s early life, interactive displays, a peaceful garden, and his original “Imagine” piano. In May 2025 members of the MSDP community were very pleased to be invited to visit, and we had a fantastic time.

One attendee said “We really enjoyed our visit — it was very interesting, and the interpreter was excellent”, whilst another commented “Having the interpreter was very valuable, as it provided much more information that we would not have understood otherwise.”

At MSDP we strive to provide accessible activities for our community members, and we will continue to arrange activities to ensure everyone feels included, supported, and empowered to participate fully.
