Free IT training for Deaf people

We are very pleased to have received £4,840 of funding from Ørsted and the Burbo Bank Extension Community Fund to provide a 10-week IT skills training course for Deaf people. The sessions will cover a variety of different topics, from basic use of phone/tablet/computer to finding out how new technology like ChatGPT could work for you.

The aim of the sessions is to:

  • Give Deaf people the confidence to use and embrace technology
  • Ask anything – apps, settings, emails, internet, AI tools
  • Meet other Deaf people and learn together

Course details:

  • Every Tuesday 10am-12, from 24th June to 26th August 2025
  • The sessions are being run at the A&K Community Hub – 310 Park Road North, Birkenhead
  • BSL interpreters and Deaf support staff available
